DOMAINE DE L’OCTAVIN
P’tit Poussot 2020
Jura, France
Chardonnay from young vines planted over limestone in Alice’s ‘Poussot’ vineyard in Arbois, pressed directly and aged in cuve until the following spring. As always this is an immediate, invigorating take on Jurassic Chardonnay, distilling it down to its most essential elements of ripe citrus, hazy minerals and a clean, salty finish.

FRÉDÉRIC COSSARD
Bourgogne Rouge Bedeau 2021
Burgundy, France
Pinot Noir from a number of plots of forty year old vines in and around the village of Volnay and a parcel of fifty year old vines in Nuits-Saint-Georges, fermented as whole bunches for a fortnight before a short rest in concrete eggs. Reflecting the vintage, this is pale, lithe and fragrant with raspberries, minerals and spice.

ARPEPE
Grumello Rocca de Piro 2017
Lombardy, Italy
The Grumello cru has a little more topsoil above the granite than neighbouring vineyards in Sassella and Inferno and tends to produce wines that are a little less angular, a little softer and fuller. Here, fifty year old vines sit between 350 to 500 metres above sea level and the wine spends four months on skins in tini, before being pressed off to old chestnut botti to rest for a year a half. A generous take on Mountain Nebbiolo that offers great pleasure in its youth.
