ROSSO offers a rotating selection of our favourite reds of the moment. Whether light, bright and nimble wines from cooler climes, or the deep, savoury and soothing things we enjoy from the Mediterranean, the common thread is purity, energy and intrigue.
LA GRAPPERIE
Adonis 2022
Loire, France
This beautiful expression of Pineau d’Aunis comes from vines both young and old, planted over a complex blend of clay, limestone and silex. The grapes were fermented as whole bunches for a couple of weeks before being pressed off to old barrels for a year of élevage. From a vintage with near-perfect growing conditions, it is compact, elegant and perfumed with black berries, cracked pepper and spice. A wonderful expression of one of our favourite grapes.

OLIVIER BOULIN
Fenêtre sur Lantignié 2021
Jura, France
Gamay from seventy year old vines planted over pink granite farmed by the Collonge family in the Beaujolais village of Lantignié. The grapes were fermented on the skins for almost a month, before being pressed over several days to old casks for a year of rest. Reflecting the vintage, this is delicate and nuanced, displaying a pleasant tension and a touch of finesse.

MANON
Forest Red 2022
Adelaide Hills, South Australia
This beautiful blend of Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir is made up of equal parts of whole bunches, de-stemmed grapes and direct press juice that infuses for around ten days before being pressed off to old barrels for a year. This is the most incredibly bright cherry red, with bittersweet notes of red berries, citrus and stones offering refreshment in spades.
