A beautiful expression of Vermentino from twenty year old bush vines planted over clay, some 430 metres above sea level. The grapes were fermented on the skins for two days, before being pressed off to old wooden casks for a year of rest. Compact and elegant, it feels positively Sicilian with its citrus, almonds, sea salt and spice.

This new cuvée comes from the first pick of each of Renaud’s parcels of Chenin Blanc and therefore includes vines both young and old. The grapes were pressed directly and moved to old barrels for fifteen months of élevage, and here a cooler vintage has rendered a pale, delicate and nuanced expression of the grape that is incredibly compelling in its youth.

Grillo from a picturesque vineyard Nino planted right by the Mediterranean almost two decades ago. The grapes were picked early, fermented on the skins for a day, then pressed off to vats for a short rest. The result is a salty, briny white wine that makes so much sense alongside crudo. Or as Nino puts it, “il mare nel bicchiere” — the sea in the glass.
