A new cuvée based on Grolleau from the same old vines over loam as Le Zu defruit, macerated for just five days before being pressed off to cuve for a short rest. Soft and supple, like the best examples of the grape it has just the right amount of fruit, earth and funk. A formidable bistro wine that makes so much sense alongside the Loire’s robust cuisine.

Bandita 2021
Piedmont, Italy
Barbera d’Asti from her vines of around forty years old, planted over the region’s characteristically steep slopes and soft, sandy soils. This spent six weeks on skins, followed by a year in concrete and another year in large oak casks. From a cooler vintage, this pours a brilliant shade of ruby and is as vibrant an expression of the grape as you’ll find, with tart brambly fruits bringing plenty of refreshment and intrigue.

Lazio, Italy
Mostly Sangiovese, with small amounts of Ciliegiolo, Cannaiolo and Vaiano, planted together as is tradition in the area. The grapes were destemmed and the wine spent three weeks on skins, before being pressed off to large casks of chestnut and oak for a year of rest. Bright red in the glass, it is soft and supple, offering a refreshing hit of sour cherry, earth and leafy herbs. A joyful wine that carries a beautiful sense of place.
